Peggy and her husband Eric moved to Lake Forest in 1989 with two children attending St. Mary’s and Lake Forest High School. Peggy was raised in Green Bay, graduated from Ripon College, and worked at Northern Trust in Chicago. At the Junior League, she started and chaired a committee that assisted women in residential treatment centers, and started another women’s treatment program Libertyville. Peggy also worked at Williams Sonoma teaching cooking classes. Peggy and Eric are now grandparents and their daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter reside in Lake Forest. Peggy looks forward to giving back to the community that she loves.

Reid Gustafson
Reid grew up in a neighboring community and has been a resident of Lake Forest since 2018, His professional background is in Packaging Sales. In his free time, Reid is active in his local church community and enjoys volunteering for the Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity and other similar organizations. Reid resides in town with his wife, and 4 wonderful daughters, who attend Cherokee Elementary & First Presbyterian Preschool. Reid and his wife like outdoor activities with their kids, supporting their kids in their various sports and activities, and enjoying the Lake Forest Community.
Bert Carstens
Bert and his wife, Julie, live in Whispering Oaks. He moved to Lake Forest in 1987. His 3 children are graduates of LFHS. A native of Long Beach, Indiana, Bert received his undergraduate Bachelor of Business Science in Business Administration from Washington University and his MBA from Indiana University. His banking career included co-founding and leading Libertyville Bank & Trust, where he was active with a number of area civic and non-profit groups. Now retired, he looks forward to contributing the community.
Bruce Barger
Bruce and his wife, Beth, have been Lake Forest residents for 30 years and have 4 children. Bruce attended West Virginia University and West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a retired Navy physician, specialized in Anesthesia. He received an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He currently works at a local pharmaceutical company as Medical Director specializing in drug pharmacovigilance. Bruce is a member of the American Legion Post 264 and an avid golfer. He enjoys spending time with family and friends in our community.
Michael Crimmins
Michael has resided in the South Park neighborhood in Ward 2 since 2011 with his wife Donielle Foss Crimmins and two children (Michael and Thomas). A Pittsburgh native, he attended college at the University of Dayton (OH), graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering while being a 3-year varsity letterman for the Flyers’ (Div 1) football program. He has been working in the lighting industry for the past 18+ years, currently as the Director of the ESCO Sales Channel for RAB Lighting based in NYC. He looks forward to volunteering for the Caucus Committee and serving his fellow residents of Lake Forest.
Rosemary Kehr
Rosemary has lived in Lake Forest for over 20 years. Both her children attended D65 and D115 schools. She has served as a Member and Chair of both the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, currently serving on the City’s Central Business District Working Group. Rosemary holds a Masters from Harvard University in City Planning and an M.B.A from Northwestern University. Rosemary has extensive professional experience in city planning, zoning, and development. She looks forward to being on Caucus and representing her neighbors in Ward 2.
Ann Lyon
Ann and her family have resided in Lake Forest since 1995. She became a Realtor in 2005 after a successful 20+ year career practicing architecture and overseeing construction, specializing in commercial and residential architecture. Ann serves Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and the greater North Shore. Ann would like to be involved in the Caucus because she truly believes Lake Forest is a special community and the Caucus helps choose the best people to maintain and improve all that Lake Forest offers.
Scott Nehls
Scott and his wife, Susie, and their four children moved to Lake Forest in 2020. Having started coaching his oldest son in various sports many years ago, Scott has now coached several dozen sports teams of all varieties. In this most recent year, Scott coached all four of his kids’ soccer teams while serving on the board of their soccer club.
Outside of his amateur coaching career, Scott is a partner at a boutique Chicago law firm, Fuchs & Roselli, where he handles a variety of complex commercial litigation. Scott graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he double majored in Economics and Political Science, and earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law (where he also met his wife on the first day). Scott serves on several local bar associations and their subcommittees, most notably the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee. When Scott is not at work or coaching his kids’ various sports teams, he is playing hockey or doing a home improvement project.
Jay Soave
Jay, his wife Kait, and three young children Keira, Hunter and Thor, moved to Lake Forest in 2018. Keira attends Cherokee and the other two children are in preschool at EPS. By day, Jay is out hunting for new opportunities at a medical office development and acquisition firm. By night, Jay has coached Keira’s basketball team, Hunter’s flag football team and both of their occasional jui jitsu classes. With his remaining (limited) free time, Jay plays golf (poorly), practices jui jitsu and obsessively cheers on his Michigan Wolverines.
Jay views Lake Forest as a special place and is honored to serve Ward 2 to help maintain and improve our wonderful community.
